Two Future Pirates Sign To Play Basketball At NCMC

NCMC men's and women's basketball have been hard at work on the recruiting trail.  Pirates Head Coach Jeremy Esry signed Quinan Rieves from Lincoln College Preparatory Academy late last week.  Additionally, Lady Pirates Head Coach Jenni Croy signed Dymeria (DK) Guillory from Park Hill South High School.

Quinan is a 6'5" athletic wing who averaged 20 points, 11.7 rebounds and 4.3 blocks per game as a senior.  As a junior, he was selected to the 2nd Team of the Interscholastic league.  During his senior season, he was a 1st Team selection and was also named as the 2018 Interscholastic League Player of the Year.

Esry had these comments about his newest Pirates recruit.  "We are very excited to get such an all-around high character student athlete like Quinan Rieves.  Q has been on the top of our recruiting board since last summer when we watched him play in some tournaments with his club team NDAGYM.  On the basketball court, he is a high-motor athlete who knows how to fill up a stat sheet with the wide variety of skills that he brings to the table.  We have big plans for Quinan and are very happy that he decided to join our North Central Missouri College family."

Dymeria is a 5'6" guard who was a Class 5 All-Conference and All-District player in 2017 and 2018.  She exceled as a track athlete as well finishing as the 100m hurdle runner up in districts in 2016 and 2017.  She advanced to the state track meet in 2016 placing 3rd in sectionals and received All-State honors finishing 7th at the Class 5 state track meet.  In 2017, she finished 4th in her sectionals meet to advance to the Class 5 state track meet for the 2nd year in a row.  While at NCMC, DK plans to study business.

"DK is a very unselfish player on the court.  She's the type of player who passes up her shot to make sure the team gets the best shot possible.  We are excited to add DK to our program.  She is extremely quick and will provide us the speed we are looking for at the guard position," detailed Croy.
