Pirates Baseball would like to congratulate sophomore Logan Eickhoff on his commitment to Eastern Illinois University baseball for the 2020-21 school year. After receiving multiple NCAA Division I offers, he chose EIU for the opportunities the school could provide him both athletically and academically.
Eickhoff had an outstanding freshman campaign for the Pirates. He led the team in hits (62), runs scored (45), and stolen bases (11). His .354 batting average and outstanding defensive play also made him a pillar of the Pirates lineup. NCMC's coaching staff expect continued outstanding play this coming season.
Logan followed up his spring season success with an MVP caliber summer in the MINK Collegiate League playing for the Chillicothe Mudcats. He was named Co-Player of the Year and finished the summer with a .408 batting average with 62 hits, 36 runs, 29 RBIs, and 11 stolen bases.
On top of his athletic prowess, Eastern Illinois will be getting an outstanding student as well. Eickhoff was named a 2nd Team Academic All-American by the NJCAA as a freshman.
