The North Central Missouri College Pirates are proud to recognize an exceptional milestone achieved by one of their own. Truman Bodenhausen, a 2025 graduate of NCMC, has been awarded his second consecutive Rawlings Gold Glove — one of the most prestigious honors in college baseball, recognizing elite defensive performance on a national scale.
Bodenhausen first claimed the Gold Glove in 2024 as the Pirates' starting second baseman, where he turned in a flawless defensive season. Over 116 total chances, he committed zero errors, a rare and remarkable feat at any level of the game.
Demonstrating not only his athleticism but also his unselfish, team-oriented approach, Bodenhausen transitioned to left field for the 2025 season. Despite the position change, he maintained the same level of defensive excellence, quickly adapting to the outfield and once again standing out among his peers across the nation. His performance in left field earned him his second straight Rawlings Gold Glove, solidifying his reputation as one of the top defensive players in junior college baseball.
Truman's commitment to fundamentals, versatility on the field, and leadership by example have left a lasting legacy within the Pirates Baseball program. His back-to-back Gold Gloves place him among the elite defenders in NCMC history and are a testament to his hard work, preparation, and competitive spirit.
Please join us in congratulating Truman on this remarkable achievement and in celebrating the dedication and excellence he brought to the diamond each and every game.
Below is the full press release from the ABCA & Rawlings announcing the awards.
The American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings Sporting Goods have announced the 2025 ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams in all eight divisions of collegiate baseball and high school. The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove winners have been selected since 2007 in the collegiate and high school ranks and have featured many future Major League Baseball players.
The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Awards are selected by ABCA coaches committees at each level: NCAA Div. I, II & III, NAIA, NJCAA Div. I, II & III, Pacific Association Division, and High School.
The ABCA/Rawlings Award Program is one of the most comprehensive in all of sports, honoring All-America and Gold Glove teams in nine divisions of amateur baseball as well as All-Region teams in five divisions.
The ABCA/Rawlings All-America teams date back to 1949 starting with one collegiate All-America team. Other divisions subsequently added until the current total of nine was reached. The first ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were recognized in 2007, making this the 18th year the ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Awards have been presented in the collegiate and high school ranks (no awards were presented in 2020 due to COVID-19).
