Cross Country Features A Pair Of Male And Female Runners In The Dutch Open

NCMC Cross Country competed in their second meet of the fall on September 26th.  The first year programs don't have enough runners to compete in the team standings but each runner instead entered the contest on an individual basis.

Women's Recap:  The NCMC women's cross country team had two runners compete at the Dutch Open in Pella, IA. Andrea Jenkins crossed the line in 38:48.7 which was good for 86th place, while Jacey Cook finished 87th in 39:28.8 on the 6000-meter course. Although the Pirates did not record a team score, the event provided valuable racing experience against a strong field of four-year schools and regional community colleges.

Men's Recap:  The Pirate's men had two runners compete as individuals in the Dutch Open which featured 113 total runners. Robert Muselman turned in the top finish for the Pirates, crossing the line in 35:52 over the 8,000-meter course which was good for 100th place. Aden Sartorius was the team's other runner, finishing in 40:30 and in 111th place. Each runner gained good experience against the strong field.
