NCMC softball began their Region 16 schedule with a home sweep of MSU-West Plains on Sunday to pull their season record to 6-6.
GAME 1:
North Central Missouri College powered its way to a 9–4 win over Missouri State University–West Plains behind a strong offensive showing and a complete game in the circle from Skylar Sunderland. Ireland Bloss led the Pirates at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored while also swiping a base. Cora Thompson added a big day offensively with two hits, including a double, two RBI, and two runs scored, while Kaylor Hodge collected two hits and scored once. Alex Endicott and Katie Pierson each contributed doubles, with Endicott driving in a run and scoring once. Chariss Barnard added an RBI single and drew two walks, and Ella Barnett brought home a run as part of the Pirates' 12-hit performance. In the circle, Sunderland tossed all seven innings, allowing four runs while scattering nine hits to secure the victory for North Central.
GAME 2:
The Pirates powered their way to a 10-0 victory over West Plains behind a strong performance at the plate and in the circle. Alex Endicott led the offense with a perfect 3-for-3 day, scoring two runs, driving in two, and adding a double while also swiping two bases. Cora Thompson provided a big swing with a home run and finished with two runs scored and an RBI, while Myla Laws and Katie Pierson each added a hit and an RBI. Ireland Bloss also contributed with an RBI single as the Pirates totaled eight hits and were aggressive on the bases with four stolen bases. In the circle, Emma Lisenbee was dominant, tossing 4.2 scoreless innings while allowing just three hits and striking out seven to secure the shutout victory for NCMC.
