Lady Pirates Dominate St. Louis CC On Hall Of Fame Day

16th ranked NCMC women's basketball delivered a dominant performance against region foe St. Louis Community College on Saturday, showcasing remarkable efficiency and depth in their 107-32 victory. The win improves the team's record to 14-7 overall and 2-0 in Region 16 play.

From the opening minutes, the Lady Pirates established control, with Jessica Reeter leading the charge. Reeter was electric, shooting 8-of-14 from the field, including a sizzling 5-of-9 from beyond the arc, finishing with a game-high 21 points while dishing out four assists and grabbing two steals.

The supporting cast was just as impactful. Jacie Morris had an impressive showing, scoring 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting, while controlling the boards with three rebounds. Oliviya Tinoco contributed 9 points, all from three-point range, hitting 3-of-6 from deep and adding three rebounds and three assists. Talicia Byrd chipped in 5 points and was a key facilitator, tallying five assists.

The bench was a critical factor in the blowout, with contributions coming from all over. A'Myah Bankston added 6 points and 2 rebounds, while Sidney Aeschliman was efficient, scoring 7 points and sinking all four of her free throws. Abbi Fountain dominated inside, putting up 11 points, 6 rebounds, and three assists, providing a strong interior presence. Maddi Fisher added another layer of offense with 8 points on 4-of-5 shooting, while Keylie Beane and Tailer Morrison combined for 10 points and 7 rebounds.

The NCMC dominance was evident in nearly every statistical category. They shot 57.5% from the field compared to the Archers' 30.0%, hit 12 of their 27 three-point attempts for an impressive 44.4%, and outrebounded St. Louis Community College 40-14. North Central Missouri College also demonstrated excellent ball movement, recording 34 assists to the Archers' 4, while their defense forced 17 turnovers, translating into 23 steals.

St. Louis Community College struggled to find their rhythm against the Lady Pirates' suffocating defense. Johanna Wood was the lone bright spot for the Archers, scoring 12 points on 4-of-14 shooting and grabbing four rebounds. Mela Sykes provided a spark off the bench with 13 points, hitting three of her four attempts from beyond the arc. However, their overall shooting struggles and inability to match NCMC's depth sealed their fate early.
