Coach Houston was elevated to Head Women's Basketball Coach on April 10, 2026.

Coach Houston joined the NCMC women’s basketball program as the fulltime assistant coach for the 2025–2026 season. This will be her third year with the team, having previously served as a volunteer assistant for two seasons. She brings a strong passion for player development, teamwork, and teaching the fundamentals of the game.

Coach Houston’s playing career began at Johnson County Community College, where she averaged 12.3 points, 2.6 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game as a sophomore, while shooting an impressive 45 percent (99-of-220) from three-point range. She helped lead JCCC to its eighth consecutive 30-win season, finishing with a 33–3 record and a NJCAA DII National Runner-Up finish. She then continued her career at the NCAA Division II level at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, where she earned Second Team All-GLVC honors in both of her seasons. After college, Coach Houston went on to play professionally overseas before concluding her playing career.

She is looking forward to contributing to a successful season at NCMC and helping each athlete grow in skill and confidence.
