Lady Pirates Golf competed at the Simpson Invitational on Wednesday at Indianola Country Club. Eleven teams were in completion and Coach Cordray's first year program finished 10th in that field. "The course was another challenging layout of 5,815 yards which challenged the ladies with many forced carries and target golf. We saw our low team score on the year and look to keep improving through practice the remainder of the fall," remarked Cordray.
In the event, freshman Julia Weydert paced the Pirates with a +34 finish which was good for a 39th place tie individually in the 58-person field. Next for the Pirates was Hannah Bracken (+37) followed by Lana Raymo (+46) and Shayla Woodside (+68).
The event likely marked the end of the fall schedule for the Lady Pirates though there is the possibility of a duel with Graceland University later this fall.
