NCMC Men's And Women's Track Heads To Nationals

NCMC Men's And Women's Track Heads To Nationals

For the first time in program history, the North Central Missouri College men's and women's track & field teams will represent NCMC on the national stage.

The Pirates are set to compete at the NJCAA Indoor National Championships hosted at Washburn University in Topeka, KS from March 5–7 in Topeka, Kansas. The trip marks a historic milestone for the young NCMC track & field program as student-athletes from both the men's and women's teams have qualified for the national meet.

Two Pirates will represent the men's team in field events. Genesis Bethea qualified in the high jump, while Nathanial Giffin will compete in the pole vault.

On the women's side, the Pirates will have two sprinters competing in the 60-meter dash. Cierra Stigger and Jamari Ervin each earned spots in the national meet and will look to make an impact against the top junior college athletes in the country.

Competing at the NJCAA Indoor National Championships represents a significant step forward for the Pirates track & field program and provides NCMC student-athletes the opportunity to showcase their talents on the national stage.
