Pirates Wrap Up Inaugural Cross Country Season

The North Central Missouri College Cross Country teams wrapped up their inaugural season with strong performances to close out the fall.

In the women's race, Jacey Cook led the Pirates with a solid 5K effort, finishing 26th out of 31 runners with a time of 27:28. Andrea Jenkins followed close behind in 29th, crossing the line in 27:51.

On the men's side, Robert Muselman was the lone Pirate competing and turned in an impressive performance, placing 31st out of 52 runners in the 8K with a personal-best time of 32:02, improving his previous mark by nearly 50 seconds.

"For NCMC's first-ever cross country season, I was very pleased with the progress this group of athletes made in such a short time," said Head Coach Mike Witten. "They've begun laying the foundation for this new program and should be very proud of being part of something special. Their work ethic, devotion to the sport, and support for one another—both on the course and in the classroom—grew tremendously throughout the season. I'm excited to watch them continue to develop as a team and as individuals."
