Lady Pirates Complete Perfect Region 16 Season, #1 Seed For Postseason Tournament

The North Central Missouri College Lady Pirates delivered a dominant performance on both ends of the floor, rolling to an 87-37 home victory over St. Louis Community College to close out their regular season at 23-7.  NCMC heads into the NJCAA Region 16 tournament as the #1 seed where they will again matchup with STLCC. 

 

North Central set the tone early with defensive pressure and balanced scoring, forcing 28 turnovers while converting efficiently on the offensive end. The Lady Pirates shot 44.9 percent from the field and controlled the glass with a 39-28 rebounding advantage.

 

Liz Oliver led the way with 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting and added seven rebounds, providing a steady inside presence. Tailer Morrison was a force on the block, finishing with 13 points and five rebounds, including five offensive boards that created second-chance opportunities.

 

Sidney Aeschliman filled the stat sheet with 10 points, eight rebounds, two steals, and two blocks, impacting the game on both ends. Delaney Richards gave the Lady Pirates a spark off the bench, pouring in 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting, including a perfect 2-for-2 from three-point range, while also tallying four steals.

 

NCMC's depth was evident throughout the contest. Addilyn Henke added nine points and four assists, Laney Uchtman contributed eight points and eight rebounds, and Lexi Burns chipped in seven points and two assists. As a team, the Lady Pirates recorded 17 steals and 17 assists, showcasing their unselfish play and defensive intensity.

 

With contributions across the roster and relentless defensive effort, the Lady Pirates secured an impressive home victory and continue to build momentum heading into the postseason, looking to make another run to the National Tournament.
