North Central Missouri College put together a hard-fought effort on Wednesday night but came up short in a 64–53 loss to Allen County. The Lady Pirates relied on balanced contributions across the lineup, with several players delivering strong performances on both ends of the floor. With the loss, NCMC's record now sits at 5-5 with their next action coming on Friday afternoon against Missouri Valley College JV. Tipoff is set for 3:00pm.
Tailer Morrison anchored NCMC inside, posting 14 points and 9 rebounds on an efficient 6-of-8 shooting night. The sophomore forward was a consistent presence in the paint and led all Lady Pirates in scoring.
Freshman guard Addilyn Henke provided a spark off the bench, knocking down two threes and finishing with 12 points and 5 rebounds, adding two assists and a steal in one of her most complete outings of the season.
Liz Oliver battled on the glass throughout the contest, collecting 7 rebounds to go with 7 points, while Honor Mannings added 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals, giving the NCMC valuable defensive pressure.
Sidney Aeschliman and Keylie Beane chipped in 5 and 4 points respectively, with Beane connecting on a three and securing 3 rebounds. Lexi Burns also contributed 4 points and 3 rebounds off the bench, and Laney Uchtman added 3 points.
Despite a tough shooting night, the Lady Pirates stayed within reach thanks to strong free-throw shooting (12-of-17) and a 39–35 rebounding edge. NCMC will look to regroup and bounce back in its next outing to get back above the .500 mark.
