North Central Missouri College put together a gritty effort on Tuesday night, but the Lady Pirates came up short in an 80–66 road loss to 9th ranked Allen County CC despite several strong individual performances.
Honor Mannings led the way for NCMC, pouring in a team-high 15 points while attacking the rim consistently and knocking down 10 of 14 free throws. She added two assists and a steal in her 34 minutes of action.
Liz Oliver provided a spark with 10 points and three rebounds, while Sidney Aeschliman contributed six points, including a three-pointer, to go along with an assist and a rebound. Tailer Morrison turned in an efficient night, scoring six points on 2-of-3 shooting and grabbing three boards.
NCMC's bench delivered important energy, highlighted by Addilyn Henke's eight points, three assists, and a steal. Laney Uchtman added eight points of her own with two rebounds and two steals, and Peyton Johnson knocked down two threes on her way to a six-point outing. Freshman Lexi Burns chipped in four points, while Delaney Richards added a three-pointer and two assists.
Despite the loss, NCMC showed depth and resilience, outrebounding Allen County on the offensive glass and converting 28 free throws—a key factor in keeping the game within reach.
