Lady Pirates Complete Region 16 Sweep Of Metropolitan CC

North Central Missouri College put together a dominant all-around performance to secure an 87–44 victory over Metropolitan Community College on Wednesday night.  The win keeps the Lady Pirates a perfect 3-0 in Region 16 play and completed the season sweep of the Wolves.  NCMC is now 16-7 overall with their Sophmore Day/HOF Game next on the schedule for Saturday.

 

The Lady Pirates were led by a strong outing from sophomore Honor Mannings, who poured in a game-high 20 points on 9-of-16 shooting while pulling down 10 rebounds. Tailer Morrison added an impressive double-double of her own, finishing with 18 points and a game-best 13 rebounds, including eight on the offensive glass.

 

Liz Oliver contributed across the stat sheet with 11 points, 10 rebounds and three assists, while Sidney Aeschliman knocked down three three-pointers on her way to nine points and added two blocks on the defensive end. Keylie Beane made her impact defensively, recording two steals and helping limit MCC to just 21.9 percent shooting from the field.

 

NCMC's depth was also on display, as Lexi Burns chipped in eight points and nine rebounds off the bench, and Addilyn Henke added six points, eight rebounds and three assists. Delaney Richards provided a spark with seven points, while Peyton Johnson connected on two three-pointers for six points.

 

The Lady Pirates controlled the glass with a 67–38 rebounding advantage and held MCC to just 44 points, showcasing a complete team effort on both ends of the floor.
